A quadcopter is a multi-rotor copter that consists of 4 arms that each have a propeller and motor on each. The standard setup has 2 opposite arms rotating counter clockwise while the other 2 rotate clockwise(see image below). This setup allows for the utmost stability and control for the operator.
As we are all quite familiar with RC Helicopers and Planers, the Quadcopter falls somewhere in between with ease of use and complexity. Learning how to fly a quadcopter has a bit more of learning curve than your standard helicopter yet once you get a handle on it the possibilities are endless!
